Fixed drug eruption (FDE) is typically establishes as round or oval, sharply delineated erythematous edematous plaques. Essentially it a drug-induced cutaneous reaction that happens at the similar site with each exposure to specific medication. A extensive spectrum of drugs can occasionally give rise numerous contrary orofacial manifestations, predominantly dry mouth, taste disturbances, oral mucosal ulceration, and/or gingival swelling. However, etiology FDE still unknown, delayed type hypersensitivity occurs lesions. By limiting use term allergic those reactions are immunologically arbitrated reasonably be reputed be, approximations allergy may account for 6–10% these adverse reactions.
